just finished the creative nonfiction workshop.
on one hand, i really liked it, because the instructor actually gave us writing assignments each day -- if he hadn't, i probably wouldn't have written anything over these past three days -- and he critiqued them. he was pretty harsh, but it was insanely helpful. i don't really write nonfiction; i am a total beginner, so his insights are definitely valued.
and then on the other hand, i really HATED it because i found out that non

i got my first super duper negative comment today.
some guy over on mibba commented on roots and said:
"Just awful. If your parents read this, they would be ashamed."
